They came and shampooed it! The ceiling and walls are still water damaged but they came and took care of the floors, and dayum! They look nice. It does seem a little odd to me that they would fix the carpets before ceiling and walls. Won’t that make a pretty big mess with all the paint and spackle and the falling of all the wood and bits? And won’t that lead to my floors being messy and them having to re-clean them? And won’t they be even cleaner after that? Yes they will. So why am I complaining? Shit.

A FLOOD!

I was at the hospital all day with my dad and when I got home it smelled funny and it sounded like the bathtub was running. I went into the bathrooms and they were FLOODED. It was all coming from the ceiling. I guess in the apartment upstairs something went wonky and exploded and it all came down on my place.

I called maintenence right away and they are upstairs supposedly fixing the leak. I dunno… it’s been a good hour and the water is still pouring down.

It’s all musty and gross. The water has leaked across nearly the whole house. I can’t wait for them to come suck my carpet. Wait that sounds nasty… but I think I’ll leave it. I hope they plan on mopping the flors up too! I don’t wanna have to fix any of this.

Nothing was actually damaged as far as I can tell like electronics or our furniture. Maybe we’ll get new carpet out of it. Ah, the one good thing about apartment living.
